University Ambassadors

About Poly Reps

Under the supervision of the Office of Admissions and Recruitment and Poly Reps advisors, the Poly Rep university ambassador is responsible for leading general, group, and special guest tours for Cal Poly visitors. This student position is expected to share personal academic and extracurricular experiences during campus tours with prospective students, supporters, alumni, counselors, and community members.

Poly Reps are positive and responsible role models who lead by example and exemplify Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy and the Mustang Way. Sponsored by the Office of Admissions & Recruitment in the Strategic Enrollment Management division, Poly Reps are official student university ambassadors who serve the university with authenticity and pride. As ambassadors, they support Admissions staff, fellow student leaders, and guests in creating a safe, welcoming, and educational experience that showcases the vibrant college life at Cal Poly.
